RIVERSONG by DYLAN S LE MAIRE: INTRODUCTION

PART OF THE
LE MAIRE CHRONICLES

Southeastern Missouri, aka the Missouri Bootheel, USED TO BE sech a nahce quiet little place. Magnolia blossoms, Magnolia Thunderpussy, mint julips, Sauerkraut julips, the river, the swamps, and a fair amount of what can only now be laughingly called GENTILITY, aka Suth'n Haspeetahlety.

THEN...(as millions of pairs of ears perk up, and noses sniff..AND TAILS WIGGLE, confirming the notion that INTRIGUE is in the air. Might also be dinner, but).

The Mighty Mississippi River

is the longest and one of the most beautiful rivers in the United States. Over 2300mi end to end, starting in the state of Minnesota and ending at the Gulf of Mexico in southern Louisiana.

The area just south of N'awlins down 'roun' Houma as they say, is where the first book of the first series begins.

(DIME A DANCE - THE SAGA OF FRANKIE & TESS
Book I Part I - THE DANCE...
available in bookstores and online.)

I won't spoil those first three books for you, but reading them will help you get up to speed.

Rivers to me always seem at once mystical and mythical and somewhat magical, and they each have their own unique pace and flow as well as their own song.

Ever sit by the side of a river?
Ever notice it singing to you?

Each do in their own special way,
and if you get into
the rhythm, it can move you just as surely and as easily as it moves the water inside its banks.

This novel series is in part at least about the song of the BIG MUDDY as it is affectionately called. The most commercially viable river in the United States and yet
at times it can be incredibly quiet. Serene. Peaceful, except for the horn blasts which warn and also greet fellow travelers like those on the Mississippi Queen and the other paddlewheels which stroll up and down alongside the barges and other watercraft.

You can hear that ancient river whisper...
come with me, come with me.
I will show you WONDERS, sing you my songs, and create inside you the stuff of dreams, magic, and yes.

MYSTERY.

ALL these rivers.
The Mississippi, Columbia, Ohio, Monongahela, Missouri, Cape Fear, Delaware, Potomac, the Colorado...have a story to tell, and many of those stories are the things of legend.

SO, C'mon. Let's go hoist a cold one and spin some cool tales of life, the river, and one of the kookiest authors on the planet.

HIS FRIENDS ARE NUTS TOO.
LOL.

C'mon.
You do NOT wanna miss this.
Hell,we might just trip over a dead body or two, like our pal Dylan aka Bear is forever doing and then trying to claim...
"NOT MY FAULTY."

YEH RIGHT.
