THE PREMISE

THE STORY BEGINS WITH THIS PREMISE:

Tess de Brouchard came from the country...rural and sleepy little towns in the dusky plains of Kansas, a victim of horrendous child abuse, verbal...sexual. You name it. She and her older Brother (by barely nine months) Frankie.

Frankie MacAlester was the son of upper middle class and well-positioned tenured college professors at Washington University in St Louis. 

His mother Elke was also a
corporate psychologist.

Tess ran away from the hell she had endured most of her life (and into much more of it of a far different and far more dangerous kind) at 14. 

Frankie left home to FIND HIMSELF at 17, both with high school diplomas and little else.

They met at a riverfront bar/dive in Natchez Mississippi, but this tale really began for me as they were arriving at the home of this best-selling author (me) (WAVES LAUGHING)...right before I trips ovah my own furry toesies and falls out the window) down near Houma Louisiana...

AND THAT IS WHERE THE FUN BEGAN!

The running from the Mafia, the FEAR...overwhelming and ever present, the falling deeply in love and also into one round of trouble after another. THEN...

FATE, in the form of Tony de Rochement (Ofelia's youngest son) in New Orleans who enlisted the help of his brother Ryan (Dylan's friend) to get them to Dylan...and the rest is not only history but the future,
in this and all the other books in this and the previous series.
